Yes, Shackleton's story is truly remarkable. I've read numerous books, seen several documentaries, and the Kenneth Brannagh drama. Think I'm about Shackletoned out!I would also highly recommend the story of Longitude, a fascinating book and excellent mini-series which is available on DVD.

Shackleton was one of the greatest survivors and it is incredible to watch how he and his men overcame adversity and fought, literally battling the elements. It is a tale of extraordinary courage and strength of will. I hope that every school going child sees this at some point before they graduate to know the real meaning of courage.
